2025 Lord Abbett Partners

Kate Dean – Partner, Head of Enterprise Risk Management: Ms. Dean joined Lord Abbett in 2021 and is responsible for strengthening the enterprise-wide framework to identify, assess, and monitor key risks. She serves on both the Operating and Standards & Practices Committees, ensuring the firm’s growth is matched with prudence, integrity, and resilience.

Ryan Howard – Partner, Lead Portfolio Manager, Global Equity: Mr. Howard joined Lord Abbett in 2003 and is responsible for managing the firm’s Global Equity strategy. Over the years, he has consistently demonstrated exceptional performance and leadership. With a combination of analytical rigor and vision, he has helped establish a standard of excellence across the investment organization.

Jonathan Pearl – Partner, Head of Origination, Private Credit: Mr. Pearl joined Lord Abbett in 2023 and played a critical role in leading our expansion into private credit, overseeing origination and advancing capabilities in this fast-growing area. His expertise has been instrumental in positioning Lord Abbett for continued growth in one of the industry’s most dynamic markets.

2025 Lord Abbett Senior Managing Directors

Martin Hofstadter – Head of Sales, Latin America: Mr. Hofstadter joined Lord Abbett in 2016 and is responsible for maintaining and growing the firm’s offshore business within the Americas region, which includes the U.S. non-resident client market and Latin America. His leadership has been pivotal in driving our entry into new markets and broadening our sales reach to include alternative products.

Matthias Knerr, Portfolio Manager – International Equity: Mr. Knerr joined Lord Abbett in 2018 and is responsible for managing the firm’s International Equity strategy. In addition to generating consistently strong portfolio performance, he has played a critical role in developing investment tools and processes. His leadership has been instrumental in shaping a culture of success within our Equity department.

Tim Schwider – Head of Quantitative Research: Mr. Schwider joined Lord Abbett in 2019 and leads a team that provides quantitative investing expertise, proprietary analytical models, and other quantitative tools wherever necessary to help achieve scalability, competitive edge, and reliability in our investment processes. Demonstrating strong investment acumen, thought leadership, and growth orientation, he also leads the firm’s efforts to incorporate generative AI into customized solutions and processes.   

Marisa Mulvihill – Head of Brand Strategy: Ms. Mulvihill joined Lord Abbett in September 2025, bringing two decades of experience shaping and elevating brands across the financial services and corporate landscape. She has advised leading Chief Marketing Officers and senior executives on brand repositioning, integrated marketing, and creative strategy to drive growth and strengthen market presence. At Lord Abbett, she will lead the firm’s brand narrative, ensuring it reflects the company’s values, purpose, and vision for clients and colleagues alike. Her proven ability to turn insights into clear, compelling stories will help sharpen the firm’s identity in a competitive marketplace.
