Steven M. Lipper
Steven M. Lipper, CFA
Investment Strategist

Steven Lipper works with the Multi-Asset Class strategies and Calibrated Equity portfolio management teams. He is a member of the Asset Allocation Investment Committee and is responsible for overseeing and implementing the asset allocation decisions for the allocation strategy funds. Mr. Lipper also works with the portfolio management team for the calibrated equity strategies and is responsible for communicating the design, execution, and current positioning of these strategies.

 

Mr. Lipper, who has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, joined Lord Abbett in 2004 as a Client Portfolio Manager, working with the mid cap value, small cap value, and capital structure portfolio management teams, clients, consultants, and prospects. He also held a role as Director of Retirement Services.

 

Prior to joining Lord Abbett, Mr. Lipper served as an Executive Vice President, Private Client Services at Reuters, Ltd. Before that, he held multiple roles at Lipper Analytical Services, including Marketing Director, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, and Analyst. Previously, he was an Equity Analyst at Howard Hughes Medical Institute and an Analyst at Folger Nolan Fleming Douglas, Capital Management Division. In those roles, he appeared on CNBC and CNN and has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal and the Financial Times.

 

Mr. Lipper earned a BS in economics from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He also is a holder of a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
