process that blends quantitative and fundamental research with a detailed analysis of the
business cycle. The consistent application of this approach helps us to identify
attractively priced stocks of fiscally strong companies that we expect to perform well in
upcoming economies.
- Our fixed-income investment strategies emphasize high current income within a total
return framework. As a foundation for our work in this area, we develop forecasts
regarding future inflation, interest rates and Federal Reserve policy, then seek to
identify undervalued securities by combining quantitative and fundamental research with
detailed analysis of issuer creditworthiness. Our government portfolios are actively
managed by adjusting interest-rate sensitivity; our municipal portfolios focus on
high-quality, long-term issues with good call protection.
Our People
Lord Abbett currently employs a staff of 59 investment professionals, who average 15 years
of experience in the business and six years of tenure with the Lord Abbett. The Firm
rounds out its global perspective by maintaining an advisory relationship with Fuji-Lord
Abbett International, Limited, of which Lord Abbett is a minority owner.
Current and former Lord Abbett partners and employees, along with their families, have
