Philip B. Herman
Portfolio Manager

Philip Herman, a Portfolio Manager of Municipal Bonds, is responsible for the execution and implementation of the investment strategy for Lord Abbett's tax-free products in the separately managed account area.

Mr. Herman began his career in the financial services industry in 1999. He joined Lord Abbett in 2007 as a Portfolio Manager. Prior to joining Lord Abbett, he had portfolio manager responsibilities at Lehman Brothers Asset Management/Neuberger Berman, where he comanaged high-net-worth municipal bond accounts and analyzed investment strategies for those products. Mr. Herman also has served as an Institutional Sales Associate and Investment Executive at RBC Dain Rauscher, and as an Analyst and Investment Executive at First Albany Corp.

Mr. Herman earned a BA in economics from Union College and an MBA in finance and investments from Baruch College's Zicklin School of Business.
