|Partner & Director of Taxable Fixed Income|
Robert Lee, a Partner & Director of Taxable Fixed Income, is responsible for Lord Abbett's investment-grade bond capabilities and investment strategies. Mr. Lee also is a Portfolio Manager for the firm's Core and Core Plus institutional fixed-income strategies and several Lord Abbett fixed-income retail funds, including the Core Fixed Income Fund, the Income Fund, the Inflation Focused Fund, the Short Duration Fund, and the Total Return Fund.
Previously, Mr. Lee oversaw the teams responsible for Lord Abbett's liquid debt capabilities and securitized products, including Treasuries, agencies, and mortgage-related instruments. As a principal architect of investment strategies for these sectors at the firm, Mr. Lee helped design the fundamental and quantitative elements of the investment process.
Mr. Lee began his career in the financial services industry in 1991. He joined Lord Abbett in 1997 as a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager for Mortgage and Asset-Backed Securities, and was named a Partner in 2002. Prior to joining Lord Abbett, Mr. Lee was a fixed-income Portfolio Manager at ARM Capital Advisors. He also worked in fixed income for Kidder Peabody Asset Management and First Boston Corp.
Mr. Lee earned a BS in economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
