Daniel Frascarelli, a Partner & Director, is lead Portfolio Manager for Lord Abbett's Large Cap Core, Large Cap Value, and Balanced strategies. He also is responsible for managing the Lord Abbett Affiliated Fund, the Classic Stock Fund, the Large Cap Value Fund, and the Large Cap Value managed accounts. In addition, Mr. Frascarelli also manages the Lord Abbett Capital Structure Fund with Christopher Towle, Partner & Director of High Yield and Convertible Securities, and Todor Petrov, Portfolio Manager of International Equity and Capital Structure.
Mr. Frascarelli began his career in the financial services industry in 1983. He joined Lord Abbett in 1990 as an Equity Research Analyst. He then went on to become a Portfolio Manager for the Large Cap Research Fund and Portfolio Manager for Large Cap Value, and was named a Partner in 2002. Prior to joining Lord Abbett, he was a Vice President and Analyst for Altman Brenner & Wasserman Inc.; a Quantitative Analyst at Cyrus J. Lawrence Inc.; an Engineer at Gibbs & Hill, Inc.; and an Engineer at Gibbs & Cox, Inc.
Mr. Frascarelli's insights into current market trends and valuations have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, and on Bloomberg and Reuters newswires, as well as other financial media. He also has been profiled in Barron's Online for his perspective on large cap core equity investments.
Mr. Frascarelli earned a BS in engineering from Syracuse University, an MS in engineering from Columbia University, and an MBA in finance from New York University. He also is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
