Partner & Director of Small and Micro Cap Value |
Gerard S.E. Heffernan, Jr. is a Partner & Director of Small and Micro Cap Value equity strategies at Lord Abbett. He also is the lead portfolio manager of both the small and micro cap value equity strategies, and contributes as research analyst to the smid cap value equity strategy.
Mr. Heffernan has been in the financial services industry since 1988. He joined Lord Abbett in 1998 as an Analyst on the Small Cap Value investment team, and then became one of the Portfolio Managers for the Lord Abbett Small Cap Value Fund. In 1999, he was appointed Portfolio Manager for the Lord Abbett Micro Cap Value Fund, and he became a Partner in 2004.
Prior to joining Lord Abbett, Mr. Heffernan worked at CL Capital Management, first as an Equity Analyst, and then as a Portfolio Manager. At Confederation Life Insurance Co. he held various positions of increasing responsibility before serving as Assistant Manager—Private Placements and Financial Planning.
Mr. Heffernan earned a BS in business administration from Villanova University, and is a holder of a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
