Arun Ramchandra, a Partner and Director of Sales and Marketing Technology, is responsible for managing and implementing the technologies used by those business lines. The team develops custom software solutions to meet business requirements via package selection, implementation, and outsourcing. Mr. Ramchandra places a strong emphasis on IT architecture and design in each of these solutions.
Mr. Ramchandra has more than 10 years of experience in the financial services industry, and more than 20 years of experience in the technology field. He joined Lord Abbett in 2000, and was named Partner in 2008. Prior to joining Lord Abbett, Mr. Ramchandra was a Senior Manager at IBM; a Senior Consultant, Architect at Reader's Digest; and a Finance Consultant for Merrill Lynch. Before that, he was a Distribution Systems Consultant for United Parcel Service, and a Programmer and Analyst at Thermax Ltd.
Mr. Ramchandra's team has won awards from CIO magazine for innovative applications developed for Lord Abbett's distribution and marketing areas. He also has patents from work performed at IBM, and has been published in IEEE.
Mr. Ramchandra earned an M.Sc. in economics and a BE in electrical and electronics engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, India.
